Foodservice distributor Sysco Corp. (NYSE: SYY), Houston, TX, reported sales for the fiscal year ended July 1 of $55.4 billion, up 9.9 percent year-over-year. Profit was $1.1 billion, an increase of 20.3 percent compared to the prior year.
Sales for the fourth quarter were $14.4 billion, a 5.7 percent increase over the same period a year ago. Profit increased 41.5 percent to $305.2 million.
