Rexnord Corporation (NYSE: RXN), Milwaukee, WI, reported sales for the third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2013, of $489 million, an increase of 4 percent. Core sales also increased 4 percent from the previous year. Profit for the quarter increased to $28.6 million from $9.2 million.
For the first nine months of the fiscal year, sales were $1.5 billion, a 3 percent increase from the previous year. The company reported a loss of $10.3 million year-to-date, compared to a profit of $26.2 million for the same period in 2012.
