Rexnord Corp. (NYSE: RXN), Milwaukee, WI, reported sales for the third quarter ended Dec. 31, of $451.8 million, a decrease of 2 percent year-over-year. Core sales decreased 5 percent from the previous year. Profit for the quarter decreased to $1.7 million from $24.4 million.
For the first nine months of the fiscal year, sales were $1.4 billion, a 1.2 percent decrease from the previous year. Profit for the quarter decreased 33.8 percent from $45.2 million.
