Manufacturer Regal Beloit Corp. (NYSE: RBC), Beloit, WI, reported first quarter sales of $813.5 million, a decrease of 0.5 percent from the previous year. Profit increased 11.5 percent to $47.6 million.
In the first quarter, power transmission sales were down 8 percent year-over-year to $184.6 million. Commercial and industrial systems sales increased 0.9 percent to $381.2 million, and climate solutions sales increased 3.3 percent to $247.7 million.
