Packaging Corp. of America (NYSE: PKG), Lake Forest, IL, reported third-quarter sales of $1.6 billion, up 10.5 percent compared to the third quarter of 2016. Profit increased 16.6 percent to $130.1 million.
For the first nine months, sales were $4.8 billion, up 10.6 percent year-over-year. Profit increased 17.9 percent to $399.7 million.
