Packaging Corp. of America (NYSE: PKG), Lake Forest, IL, reported third-quarter sales of $1.5 billion, up 0.9 percent compared to the third quarter of 2015. Profit decreased 6.7 percent to $119.3 million.
For the first nine months, sales were $4.3 billion, down 1.1 percent year-over-year. Profit increased 1.9 percent to $338.9 million.
