Owens & Minor Inc. (NYSE: OMI), Richmond, VA, reported sales for the second quarter of $2.5 billion, up 2.5 percent year-over-year. Profit increased 14.4 percent to $27.7 million.
Domestic segment sales for the first quarter were $2.4 billion, an increase of 2.9 percent year-over-year, while international segment sales decreased 4.6 percent to $88.6 million.
Year-to-date sales were $4.9 billion, up 2.6 percent from the prior-year period. Profit increased 20.1 percent to $51.9 million.
