NOW Inc. (NYSE: DNOW), Houston, TX, reported sales for the second quarter of $651 million, up 29.9 percent year-over-year. The company reported a loss of $17 million, compared to a loss of $44 million a year ago.
Second-quarter sales in the U.S. were $481 million, up 42.7 percent year-over-year. Sales in Canada were $79 million, up 43.6 percent, and international sales were $91 million, down 16.5 percent.
Year-to-date sales were $1.3 billion, up 22.2 percent over the prior-year period. The company reported a loss of $40 million, compared to a loss of $107 million a year ago.
