NOW Inc. (NYSE: DNOW), Houston, TX, reported sales for the second quarter of $501 million, down 33.2 percent year-over-year. The company reported a loss of $44 million, compared to a loss of $19 million a year ago.
Second-quarter sales in the U.S. were $337 million, down 32 percent year-over-year. Sales in Canada were $55 million, down 38 percent, and international sales were down 34 percent at $109 million.
Year-to-date sales were $1 billion, down 35 percent over the prior-year period. The company reported a loss of $107 million, compared to a loss of $29 million a year ago.
During the quarter, the company also completed its acquisition of Power Service.
