Industrial distributor MSC Industrial Supply Co. (NYSE: MSM), Melville, NY, reported sales for the fiscal year ended September 1 of $3.2 billion, up 10.9 percent from the previous year. Profit for the fiscal year increased 42.3 percent to $329.2 million.
Fourth quarter sales were $838 million, up 11.2 percent compared to the same quarter a year ago. Profit for the quarter increased 20.2 percent to $73 million.
