Johnson Controls Inc. (NYSE: JCI), a Milwaukee, WI-based global multi-industrial company, reported sales for the fiscal 2015 second quarter ended March 31 of $9.2 billion, down 2.8 percent compared to the same period a year ago. Profit during the quarter was $529 million, a 102.7 percent increase compared to the same period a year ago.
Building Efficiency sales in the fiscal 2015 second quarter were $2.4 billion, 4 percent higher than the same quarter last year. Segment income was $173 million, up 36 percent.
Automotive Experience sales in the quarter fell 7 percent to $5.2 billion. Segment income was $261 million, 13 percent higher than the same quarter last year.
Power Solutions sales in the second quarter increased 2 percent to $1.6 billion. Segment income was $264 million, up 13 percent
The company reported sales for the first six months of $18.8 billion, down 0.7 percent from the prior-year period. Profit increased 41.9 percent to $1 billion.
