Honeywell (NYSE: HON), Morris Plains, NJ, reported second-quarter sales of $10.9 billion, up 8 percent compared to the second quarter of 2017. Sales grew 6 percent after adjusting for foreign currency translation. Quarterly net income was $1.4 billion.
The manufacturer attributed the strong performance to continued strength in aerospace; demand for its Intelligrated warehouse automation solutions; and growth in residential thermal solutions, thermostats and ADI global distribution in its Homes business.
