Gates Industrial, Denver, CO, reported first quarter 2018 sales of $852 million, up 16.7 percent over last year. Profit increased 11.4 percent to $29.3 million.
Power transmission segment sales increased 12.4 percent to $546 million. Fluid Power segment sales increased 7.2 percent to $306 million.
