Lubricants manufacturer Castrol, part of the United Kingdom-based BP Group, has formed a joint venture with manufacturing consultancy firm TechSolve, Cincinnati, OH.
The entity is called OPTIS and is an initiative of Castrol innoVentures. OPTIS will develop technology and services to enable machined parts manufacturers to improve efficiency in their operations and across the supply chain.
OPTIS, which combines Castrol’s technical, sales and marketing operations with TechSolve’s machining and process improvement background, will focus on four industry sectors: automotive, aerospace, construction equipment and machinery manufacture.
