Carlisle Cos. Inc. (NYSE: CSL), Charlotte, NC, reported sales for the second quarter of $1.1 billion, up 7.5 percent year-over-year. Profit for the quarter decreased 11.2 percent to $102.3 million.
Construction materials sales for the quarter increased 8.4 percent year-over-year to $631.2 million, while interconnect technologies sales fell 3.6 percent to $201.8 million. Fluid technologies sales grew 4.1 percent to $71 million. Brake & friction sales increased 9 percent to $79.9 million. And food service products sales grew 38.3 percent to $87.8 million.
For the first six months of the year, sales were $1.9 billion, up 7.7 percent over the prior-year period. Profit decreased 11 percent to $164.1 million.
