New York-based Arconic Inc. (NYSE: ARNC) reported third-quarter 2017 revenues of $3.2 billion, up 3 percent year over year, driven by higher volumes across all business segments as well as higher aluminum prices. Organic revenue was up 5 percent year over year.
Net income attributable to Arconic in the third quarter of 2017 was $119 million. The results included a LIFO- and metal lag-related $30 million charge and $13 million in special items, primarily charges related to restructuring. Excluding special items, third quarter 2017 adjusted income was $132 million.
Performance by segment:
- Engineered Products and Solutions: $1.5 billion in sales, up 5 percent
- Global Rolled Products: $1.2 billion in sales, down 4 percent (organic up 1 percent)
- Transportation and Construction Solutions: $517 million in sales, up 15 percent
Year-to-date, sales were $9.68 billion, up 3 percent.
