Swedish manufacturer Alfa Laval AB (OMX: ALFA), a manufacturer in heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling, reported sales for the first quarter of SEK 9.1 billion (US$1.1 billion), a 37.5 percent increase year-over-year. Profit for the quarter increased 53 percent to SEK 863 million (US$99.9 million).
“We expect that demand during the second quarter 2015 will be somewhat lower than in the first quarter,” said Lars Renström, CEO.
