MRO parts distributor Motion Industries — No. 3 on MDM’s 2022 Top Industrial Distributors list, announced Sept. 19 the launch of its new website, ai.motion.com.
The new website reflects the legacy of brands recently acquired by Motion Ai, including Applied Machine and Motion Control, Axis New England/Axis New York, BRAAS, F&L Industrial Solutions, Integro Technologies, Kaman Automation, Meier Transmission and Numatic Engineering.
The website features a resources page containing educational videos, a blog with informational articles and a document library, including product specs and other descriptors to help users with their technical applications, according to a news release. The Products and Solutions pages allow users to research products and explore Motion Ai’s solution capabilities.
“The new Motion Ai website provides more innovative resources and enhanced information for users who want to learn anything and everything automation, robotics and motion control,” Motion senior vice president of automation intelligence Aurelio Banda said. “As an automation industry leader, Motion Ai delivers consistent, relevant news and trends via this new website, while allowing for rapid-response functionality. We also look forward to launching a contemporary eCommerce platform in the near future.”
The website news follows Motion’s Feb. 2 announcement of the formation of its Motion Automation Intelligence brand, or MotionAi. Made possible by Motion’s landmark $1.3 billion acquisition of Kaman Distribution Group on Jan. 4 of this year, MotionAi focuses on disciplines of robotics, motion control, machine vision, digital networking/IIoT, industrial framing, pneumatics and custom mechatronic systems. Industries that MotionAI serves include semiconductor, pharmaceutical, medical, logistics, automotive and aerospace (along with many others) while applying the products and services with its engineered systems.
“Blending the acquired technical brands under Motion Ai has been a huge success, and the resulting synergies are a major benefit for our customers,” Motion president Randy Breaux said. “Now, this new website makes assistance and solutions more accessible than ever for users who want to optimize automation and IIoT in their organizations.”
On June 2, Motion likewise announced the launch of its Mi Fluid Power Solutions brand, or Mi FPS, which unites its top tier fluid power business units that include the former Kaman Fluid Power divisions of BW Rogers, Catching FluidPower, Intellimotion, Calkins Fluid Power, Northwest Hose & Fittings, Western Fluid Components and Inrumec, along with Hydraulic Supply Company and Motion’s OE Mobile service capabilities.
