Kimball Midwest, a national industrial supplier based in Columbus, Ohio, on Thursday announced it has opened a larger distribution center in the Dallas area to serve customers in nine states.
Kimball Midwest relocated its Dallas Distribution Center and shipped its first order Tuesday. The 125,000-square-foot location is located about 10 miles from the former location in Grand Prairie.
The company opened its first Dallas Distribution Center in 1994. It was Kimball Midwest’s first distribution center outside Columbus. The Dallas center moved to a larger location in 2001 and then expanded in 2008, according to the company.
“We’re excited to realize the completion of this beautiful distribution center in Arlington to support our growth, our customers and the best sales team in the industry,” Chief Operating Officer Dave McCurdy says. “One of our core values is to always be green and growing, and this opening is just the latest example of that.”
