On April 28, Dallas-based Singer Industrial — formerly SBP Holdings — announced it has acquired Arizona-based Hotsy Industrial Systems, a provider off hot & cold pressure washers, air compressors, waste water treatment systems and detergents. Financial terms were not disclosed.
As part of the agreement, Hotsy will operate within the Fluid Power Division of Singer Industrial, according to a news release announcing the deal. The agreement is expected to increase Singer Industrial’s North America footprint to approximately 85-plus locations with over 1,000 employees.
Hotsy was established in 1994 and has been owned and operated by Christy Thomas since 2015. The business operates from one location in Tucson, Singer said. Thomas will continue to manage the operation and plans to expand the enterprise through organic growth and cooperation with Utah-based Watts Steam Store and other Singer Industrial companies.
“We have been proud to serve Arizona for years. We are extremely confident that this transition will benefit our employees and our customers by delivering the same excellent service while providing a stronger network of resources and expanded offerings,” Thomas said. “We are excited to join the Singer Industrial family with their exceptional leadership, our shared values, and their many years of experience in supporting and growing businesses for long term success.”
Singer Industrial has been active on the M&A front since selling its Bishop Lifting Products unit in February 2022. Singer’s recent acquisitions include Wyoming-based Hydrafab in March 2022; Idaho-based Mattson Distribution Company in August; North Carolina-based Catawba Industrial Rubber in September; Florida-based Central Hydraulics in November; and Uni-Draulik Inc., a Canadian distributor of hydraulic equipment in March.
“We are excited to have Christy and her team join the Singer Industrial family,” Singer Industrial Fluid Power Division President Scott Wojciak said. “They’ve built a great business from the simple philosophy of providing the best products and services to their customers which aligns well with our Singer Industrial culture.”
