WESCO International Inc. (NYSE: WCC), Pittsburgh, PA, reported first-quarter sales of $2 billion, a 12 percent increase compared to the first quarter of 2017. Profit was $44.4 million, up from $37.7 million in the prior year.
Sales grew 11 percent organically during the quarter, the distributor’s highest growth rate in seven years, according to Chairman, President and CEO John Engel, who said all end markets and geographies contributed to the growth.
