WESCO International Inc. (NYSE: WCC), Pittsburgh, PA, reported sales for the third quarter of $2 billion, up 7.8 percent compared to the same period the previous year. The company reported profit for the quarter of $53.7 million, compared to a loss of $31.6 million the prior year. Sales grew 9 percent organically.
For the first nine months, WESCO reported sales of $5.7 billion, up 2.5 percent from the same period a year ago. Profit climbed from $54.2 million for the period to $140.9 million.
