HVAC distributor Watsco Inc. (NYSE:WSO), Miami, FL, reported third quarter sales of $1.3 billion, up 5.5 percent year-over-year. Profit increased 21 percent to $96.9 million.
HVAC equipment sales increased 7 percent in the quarter and other HVAC products increased 5 percent. Commercial refrigeration equipment remained flat for the quarter.
For the first nine months, sales were $3.6 billion, up 5.3 percent over the same period a year ago. Profit grew 21 percent to $247.5 million.
