HVAC distributor Watsco Inc. (NYSE: WSO), Miami, FL, reported sales for the first quarter of $851.4 million, up 5.2 percent from the previous year. Profit was $25.5 million, up 10.8 percent.
Sales of HVAC equipment increased 7 percent in the quarter, commercial refrigeration products increased 6 percent and other HVAC products were up 4 percent.
