HVAC distributor Watsco Inc. (NYSE: WSO), Miami, FL, reported sales for 2015 of $4.1 billion, an increase of 4.3 percent from the previous year. Profit increased 14.2 percent to $172.9 million.
2015 revenues for HVAC equipment were up 7 percent year-over-year, with other HVAC products up 2 percent and commercial refrigeration products also up 2 percent.
Sales for the fourth quarter were a record $903.8 million, a 3.1 percent increase over the same period a year ago. Profit increased 10 percent to $26.5 million.
Fourth-quarter revenues for HVAC equipment increased 6 percent, including 8 percent in the U.S. Other HVAC products sales were flat, and commercial refrigeration products increased 4 percent.
