HVAC distributor Watsco Inc. (NYSE:WSO), Miami, FL, reported second quarter sales of $1.2 billion, down 1 percent year-over-year. Profit decreased 1.2 percent to $64.6 million.
HVAC equipment sales decreased 1 percent in the quarter, other HVAC products decreased 3 percent and commercial refrigeration equipment grew 8 percent.
For the first six months, sales were $2.1 billion, up 2 percent over the same period a year ago. Profit grew 1.9 percent to $90.2 million.
