Electronic components distributor TTI Inc., Fort Worth, TX, a Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary, has launched a microsite to update customers on the company’s positions concerning the Section 301 China Tariffs mandated by the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative.
TTI had been absorbing the tariffs on behalf of customers from their implementation this summer until the end of October. The distributor notified customers October 1 that it would begin billing customers for tariff charges with shipments starting November 1.
TTI’s new resource landing page features updates from TTI executives and corporate product experts detailing company billing policies as well as information about how the tariffs affect existing and potential customers in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The landing page also provides links to government information about the tariffs, as well as media resources with information on the latest press coverage of the situation, the company said.
