TimkenSteel Corp. (NYSE: TMST), Canton, OH, reported fourth-quarter sales of $406 million, up 19 percent compared to the prior-year period. The company reported a net loss of $40 million for the quarter.
TimkenSteel leaders said they ended the year strong, citing improved product mix, higher prices and increased volume.
For the full-year 2018, sales were $1.6 billion, with a net loss of $32 million. That compares with 2017 sales of $1.3 billion and a net loss of $44 million, the company reported.
