The Timken Co. (NYSE: TKR), North Canton, OH, has acquired PT Tech Inc., a Sharon Center, OH-based manufacturer of engineered clutches, brakes, hydraulic power take-off units and other torque management devices used in mining, aggregate, wood recycling and metals industries. Terms were not disclosed.
"We are pleased to add industrial clutches and brakes to Timken's growing portfolio of mechanical power transmission products," said Richard Kyle, Timken president and CEO.
PT Tech serves an OEM customer base primarily in North America and reported 2016, sales of $20 million.
