MRO distributor Stellar Industrial Supply, Tacoma, WA, has agreed to merge with MRO and safety products distributor Impact Industrial Supplies, Tampa Bay, FL. Terms were not disclosed.

"Impact affords Stellar an excellent platform on which to build a strong presence in the Southeast," said John Wiborg, president & CEO of Stellar. "The combination of Stellar and Impact will result in Stellar having a wider presence in the MRO, Safety supply, Metalworking and Abrasives businesses."

After the merger, Stellar will have approximately 171 employees and twelve branches. In addition to the headquarters in Tacoma, Stellar will have the following branches: Portland, Albany and Eugene, OR; Everett, Ferndale, Seattle, Spokane and Pasco, WA; Upland, CA, Billings, MT and Tampa, FL.
