MRO distributor Stellar Industrial Supply, Tacoma, WA, has agreed to acquire Tucson Abrasives, Tucson, AZ. Terms were not disclosed.
"Tucson Abrasives affords Stellar an excellent platform on which to build a strong presence in the Arizona market through their experienced and dedicated team," said John S. Wiborg, president & CEO of Stellar. "The combination of Stellar and Tucson Abrasives will afford Stellar a wider presence in the metalworking, abrasives, MRO (maintenance, repair and operation) and safety businesses.”
With this acquisition, Stellar will have thirteen branches and approximately 175 employees.
