Sonepar USA, Charleston, SC, a subsidiary of the privately held France-based Sonepar Group, agreed to acquire North Coast Electric. North Coast ranked 17th on MDM's 2018 Largest Electrical Distributors with 2017 revenues of $510 million. The acquisition adds 34 branches to the Sonepar USA network in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska and Arizona.
North Coast is an electrical distributor offering a full line card of commercial, residential and industrial electrical products, and has been family-owned and operated since 1913.
“I am thrilled that we have sold North Coast Electric to Sonepar," said Pete Lemman, CEO of North Coast. "Sonepar is another family-owned company that holds many of the same values that we have embraced since buying the business from the Byrne family in 1974. It was extremely important to make sure that the associates that made for our success were offered a great opportunity to move forward with a world-class organization,”
“This is the right decision for our associates, customers and other business partners. We look forward to working and collaborating with Sonepar USA and its operating companies and to continue building on our proud heritage as a progressive, market-leading organization,” said Mike Miller, President of North Coast.
