Sonepar Agrees to Acquire Dutch Wholesaler

Purchase of EMG van de Meerakker expands footprint in Netherlands.

France-based electrical distributor Sonepar has agreed to acquire Netherlands-based wholesaler EMG van de Meerakker. Terms were not disclosed.

Founded in 2007, EMG van de Meerakker is a specialized electrotechnical equipment wholesaler for the machine and panel construction sectors. The company reported sales of €19.2 million (US$21.4 million) in 2015. The company has 35 employees at branches in Weert, Veghel, Barendrecht and Veenendaal.
