Snap-on Inc. (NYSE: SNA), Kenosha, WI, reported sales for 2017 of $3.7 billion, a 1.5 percent increase from the previous year. Profit increased 21.7 percent to $696.2 million.
Sales for the fourth quarter were $952.5 million, a 2.3 percent decrease year-over-year. Profit increased 34.6 percent to $179.3 million.
Commercial and industrial segment sales for the quarter increased 0.6 percent year-over-year to $343.7 million, while Snap-on tools sales were down 0.4 percent to $407.4 million. Repair systems and information sales decreased 4.7 percent in the quarter to $339.9 million.
