Snap-on Acquires Ecotechnics

Acquisition expands Snap-on's presence in Italy.

Tool manufacturer Snap-on Inc. (NYSE: SNA), Kenosha, WI, has acquired Italian manufacturer Ecotechnics S.p.A. for $13 million.

Based in Sesto Fiorentino, Italy, Ecotechnics had 2014 sales of €12.4 million (US$13.6 million). The company, which designs and manufactures automatic vehicle air conditioning maintenance equipment for OEM dealerships and the automotive aftermarket worldwide, will be part of Snap-on’s Repair Systems & Information Group.
