Swedish bearing manufacturer SKF (STO: SKFA) Goteborg, Sweden, reported sales for the second quarter of SEK 22.5 billion (US$2.4 billion), down 0.4% over the same period a year ago. Organic sales fell 1.6% compared to last year. Profit fell % to SEK 2.5 billion (US$0.27 billion).
Year to date, sales were SEK 43.8 billion (US$4.7 billion), up 1.3% over the prior year period. Profit for the first six months fell % to SEK 5.6 billion (US$0.6 billion).
