Swedish bearing manufacturer SKF (STO: SKFA) reported sales for the third quarter of SEK 17.9 billion (US$2 billion), down 2.5 percent over the same period a year ago. Profit increased 20 percent to SEK 2.2 billion (US$247.1 million).
Year-to-date, sales were SEK 54 billion (US$6 billion), down 6.5 percent over the prior year period. Profit increased 0.2 percent to SEK 5.9 billion (US$662.8 million).
