Manufacturer Regal Beloit Corp. (NYSE: RBC), Beloit, WI, reported sales for the third quarter of $882.3 million, up 6 percent from the prior-year quarter. Profit increased 33.5 percent to $63.4 million.

In the third quarter, power transmission solutions sales were up 183 percent year-over-year to $191 million, driven by acquisition growth. 

Commercial and industrial systems sales decreased 10 percent to $427 million, while climate solutions sales were down 9 percent to $264 million.  

Year-to-date sales increased 10.3 percent to $2.7 billion. Profit increased 10.2 percent to $162.6 million.
