Manufacturer Regal Beloit Corp. (NYSE: RBC), Beloit, WI, reported sales for the second quarter of $838.6 million, down 11 percent from the prior-year quarter. Profit decreased 9.9 percent to $56.6 million.
In the quarter, power transmission solutions sales were down 11.9 percent year-over-year, commercial and industrial systems sales decreased 10.5 percent and climate solutions sales were down 11 percent.
Year-to-date sales decreased 10.6 percent to $1.7 billion. Profit decreased 1 percent to $98.2 million.
