RBC Bearings Inc. (NASDAQ: ROLL), Oxford, CT, reported sales for the third quarter ended Dec. 27, 2014, of $106.3 million, an increase of 5.7 percent from the previous year. Profit for the quarter increased 10.1 percent to $14.1 million.
“Our industrial businesses performed well in the quarter and we improved our execution which is reflected in a stronger gross margin performance,” said Dr. Michael J. Hartnett, CEO of RBC Bearings.
For the first nine months of the fiscal year, sales were $331.9 million, an 8.7 percent increase from the previous year. The company reported a profit of $43.3 million year-to-date, an increase of 3.1 percent from the same period the year before.
