The award is given to companies that have shown continued momentum in diversity and inclusion practices. Companies are evaluated based on their performance in four target areas: talent pipeline, talent development, leadership accountability, and supplier diversity.

Praxair was also recognized by the 2018 Corporate Equality Index with a perfect score of 100 percent and designated a Best Place to Work for LGBT equality.
