Industrial gases company Praxair Inc. (NYSE: PX), Danbury, CT, will increase prices on bulk and packaged industrial, medical and specialty gases effective Nov. 1.
Prices for nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen, helium and carbon dioxide will increase up to 10 percent, with price adjustments varying as permitted by individual supply contracts. Praxair, which attributed the rise to higher production and distribution costs, is also reducing or eliminating discounts on premium cost products.
The company in July increased prices up to 15 percent on gases and hardgoods.
