Packaging Corp. of America (NYSE: PKG), Lake Forest, Illinois, reported third quarter sales of $1.8 billion, down 2.8% compared with the 2018 third quarter. The company reported net income of $179.8 million for the quarter, a 13% decrease over the prior-year period.
For the first nine months sales fell 0.5% to $5.2 billion. Profit rose 5% to $560.2 million.
