Neenah Paper, Inc. (NYSE: NP), Alpharetta, GA, reported full year sales for 2013 of $844.5 million, an increase of 4 percent from 2012. Profit increased 17.4 percent to $52 million from the previous year.
Fourth quarter sales were $204.9 million, an increase of 6 percent from the same period the previous year. Profit decreased 3.7 percent to $13.1 million.
Technical product segment sales increased 4 percent in the fourth quarter year-over-year, while fine paper segment sales increased 10 percent.
"We finished the year with momentum, as both business segments delivered top and bottom line increases as a result of improving economic conditions, strong operational performance and successful execution of our strategy to grow in profitable niche markets like filtration, specialty backings and premium fine papers and packaging,” said John O’Donnell, CEO of Neenah Paper.
