Motion Industries to Acquire Missouri Power Transmission

Acquisition to bolster Midwest power transmission sales.

Motion Industries, Birmingham, AL, No. 6 on MDM’s 2015 list of the top 40 industrial distributors, has agreed to acquire Missouri Power Transmission, St. Louis, MO. Terms were not disclosed.

Missouri Power Transmission, with 15 branches, is a distributor of power transmission equipment and industrial supplies.

"We are very pleased about the addition of this well-established company, which will bolster our power transmission sales and services in the Midwest and beyond," said Kevin Storer, Motion's SVP of U.S. operations.

Motion Industries is a subsidiary of Genuine Parts Co. (NYSE: GPC), Atlanta, GA.
