Lincoln Electric Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: LECO), Cleveland, OH, has acquired privately held automated systems manufacturer Easom Automated Systems Inc., Detroit, MI. Terms were not disclosed.
Easom Automation, which serves heavy fabrication, aerospace and automotive OEMs and suppliers, has annual sales of $30 million.
The acquisition advances Lincoln's position in automated welding and cutting through its complementary applications, said Christopher L. Mapes, Lincoln Electric CEO.
Lincoln Electric has 45 manufacturing locations, including operations and joint ventures in 19 countries.
