Kaman Corp. (NYSE: KAMN), Bloomfield, CT, reported third-quarter sales of $447 million, down 1.4 percent over the same period a year ago. Profit decreased 6.9 percent to $16.3 million.

Distribution sales fell 2.5 percent for the third quarter to $267.6 million. Aerospace sales increased 0.2 percent to $179.4 million for the quarter.

For the first nine months, Kaman Corp. sales were $1.3 billion, down 3.2 percent year-over-year. Profit decreased 17.6 percent to $36 million.

Year to date, distribution segment sales increased 3.8 percent to $818 million; aerospace segment sales decreased 2.3 percent to $514 million.
