Houston Wire & Cable Co. (NASDAQ: HWCC), Houston, TX, reported sales of $317.7 million for 2017, a 21.4 percent increase from 2016. The company reported a loss of $0.2 million compared to a loss of $6 million in 2016.

For the year, MRO sales increased 15 percent, while the company's project sales – which targets end markets for utility power generation, environmental compliance, engineering & construction, industrials, and mechanical wire rope – increased 3 percent.
