Graybar, St. Louis, MO, a distributor of electrical, communications and data networking products and provider of related supply chain management and logistics services, has agreed to acquire Cape Electrical Supply, Cape Girardeau, MO. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 1953, Cape Electric is a regional distributor serving electrical contractors and large engineering construction firms, as well as industrial, institutional and utility customers. The company reported sales of $126 million in 2015 through its 17 locations in the central U.S. It will continue to operate under the Cape Electrical Supply name as a subsidiary of Graybar.
"This marks the second acquisition for Graybar in as many years, and we will continue to seek out similar opportunities to expand our reach and diversify our business in the future,” said Kathleen Mazzarella, Graybar’s president and CEO.
