The Fastenal Company (Nasdaq: FAST), Winona, MN, reported sales for July of $334.5 million, a 3.2 percent increase over the same period a year ago. Daily sales also increased 3.2 percent to an average of $15.2 million.
During the month, sales to manufacturing customers grew 3.4 percent, while sales to nonresidential construction customers fell 2.4 percent.
Store count was 2,618, compared to 2,684 a year ago. Employee headcount increased 8.1 percent year-over-year to 19,625.
